01 Agreement to Terms & Scope
Welcome to Restrya Hotels & Resorts (referred to herein as "Restrya", "the Resort", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms and Conditions govern your reservation, stay, and utilization of facilities, accommodations, and dining services provided at our property situated in Naldehra Baldeyan, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
By confirming a reservation via our website, telephone, email, authorized online travel agencies (OTAs), or in person at our concierge desk, you ("the Guest") acknowledge and agree to comply with all rules and conditions described herein.
02 Reservation, Guarantee & Payments
All room rates are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are subject to applicable goods and services taxes (GST) unless explicitly noted otherwise.
- Advance Deposit: A minimum advance deposit of 50% is required to secure any room reservation. Peak season bookings (December 15 – January 15 and holiday weekends) require 100% pre-payment.
- Accepted Payment Methods: We accept major credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, RuPay), UPI, bank wire transfers, and verified corporate purchase orders.
- Rates & Inclusions: Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, morning artisan breakfast (unless booked on a Room Only plan), and access to heated wellness facilities are included as defined in your reservation voucher.
03 Cancellation, Modification & Refund Policy
We understand that travel plans in mountain terrain may change. Our cancellation structure is designed to be fair and transparent:
Cancellation Schedule Overview
• 15+ days prior to arrival: 100% refund of advance deposit (less 5% bank processing fee).
• 7 to 14 days prior to arrival: 50% refund or option to reschedule within 6 months.
• Less than 7 days / No-Show: 100% retention applies; no refund or credit voucher.
Approved refunds are processed back to the original source of payment within 7 to 10 business banking days.
04 Check-In & Check-Out Protocol
- Standard Check-In Time: 02:00 PM onwards.
- Standard Check-Out Time: 11:00 AM.
- Identity Verification: In accordance with Government of India and local Himachal Pradesh police guidelines, every guest aged 18 and above must present a valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License) upon arrival. PAN cards are not accepted as identity proof.
- Early Check-In / Late Check-Out: Subject to suite readiness and prior authorization. Late check-out beyond 03:00 PM will incur a 50% half-day charge.
05 Guest Conduct, Noise & Smoking Policy
Restrya Hotels is dedicated to preserving a peaceful, contemplative natural mountain ambiance for all patrons:
- Non-Smoking Indoors: All interior rooms, wooden chalets, suites, and indoor public spaces are strictly non-smoking. Designated outdoor smoking verandas and gardens are provided. Violations will incur a deep cleaning fee of ₹5,000 per occurrence.
- Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are observed between 10:30 PM and 07:00 AM. Outdoor music, high-volume speakers, and noisy gatherings are prohibited during these hours to ensure restful sleep for all guests.
- Illegal Substances: Possession or consumption of illegal drugs or firearms on hotel premises is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of the reservation without refund and reporting to law enforcement authorities.
06 Property Damage & Guest Liability
Guests are expected to treat the resort's handcrafted wooden interiors, antique decor, linens, and electronic amenities with care.
Any accidental breakage or intentional damage caused to hotel property by guests, their children, or visitors will be billed directly to the guest's incidentals account at replacement cost prior to departure. The resort reserves the right to charge the credit card on file for unnotified damages discovered post-checkout.
07 Children, Extra Guests & Pet Guidelines
- Children Policy: Children up to 5 years of age stay complimentary using existing bedding. Extra rollaway beds or bedding for children aged 6–12 or additional adults are available at nominal supplementary rates including breakfast.
- Pet Policy: Select designated cottages are pet-friendly. Prior registration with the concierge is required, along with valid pet vaccination records. Pets must be leashed in public gardens and are not permitted inside dining areas.
08 Force Majeure & Weather Conditions
Due to our high-altitude Himalayan setting, unforeseen mountain weather conditions (heavy snowfall, landslides, highway blockages, or municipal power grid fluctuations) may occasionally occur.
While our property is equipped with heavy-duty backup generators, heating systems, and snow-clearing gear, the Resort cannot be held financially liable for delays, missed flights, or non-arrivals caused by acts of nature, state border restrictions, or highway closures beyond our operational control. In such cases, credit date adjustments will be offered in good faith.
09 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with stays or reservations at Restrya Hotels shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
